♥ Cat Power ♥ YOU GET

YOU GET

You take-a-take, and you a-gave-gave-gave what you get
And you'll make, make, make, and you'll pretend what you forget
You never take time
No, you'll never take mine

But if you don't, you could be getting, you'll be getting again
If you don't, you will be getting, you'll be getting again
If you don't, you will be getting, you'll be getting again
And would you want? You won't be on time

You cross the street, you got the feeling on me
You never listen to reason, you just tell 'em to be
You never listen to time
You never build up the time
You never listen, you will get, you get, you get what you get
You never listen, you will get, you get, you get what you get
You never listened beyond the time

And on the street, they're all talking 'bout the things you should listen
And on the news, they're always excusing
And when you tell your friends what you think you ever
And, no, there's nothing like time
To teach you where you have been
And there is nothing like time
To give you things you can need

But when you listen to the rhythm of the movements, that's right
And you've been telling me, always tell me right
It's not nothing I know, it's just something outside
You always listen your way, but you take time
To get what you want
And you tell me it's time I am wrong
And you live in this world, and you'll get what you get
And you get what you get, and you will get what you get

But when you tell me there's another time
And when you tell me there's another time
I won't remember what you're telling me, it's time
I won't forget, I won't forget, I won't forget, it's time

It's time
You get what you get (Time)
You get what you get, you get, you get, you get what you get (Time)
And you'll know when it's time, you'll get it all on yourself (Time)
You'll get it again, you will be getting again (Time)
On time
You'll get what you get (Time)
Time, you get what you get (Time)
When you take time
You get what you get, you get what you get

Cat Power - Rockets (Canzoni disegnate)

Where do the dreams of babies go
Cause you know they're all so good
And they're also gone so fast
Keep all the guns at home
Help keep your momma safe
Cause you know she pretty good too

Where is the night so warm and so strange
That no one is afraid
Of themselves
Here, pick up, dig, dig out those weeds
Out of your happy go lucky fields
Of such predictive thinking

Where do the rockets find planets
Where do the rockets find planets
Where do the rockets find planets

Where are the dreams of the babies going
Cause you know they're all gone fast
Take, take as much as you can
Cause you know it's going so fast
And you know it's so good

Where are the man that mounted so brave
That they do not explode over everyone
Here, pick up, dig, dig out those weeds
Out of your happy go lucky fields
Of such predictive thinking

Where do the rockets find planets
Where do the rockets find planets
Keep your guns at home
Keep your guns at home
Help keep your momma safe
You know she's all good too
She's pretty good
Where are all the dreams of babies going
Did you know they're all good

The moon is not only beautiful
It is so far away
The moon is not only ice cold
It is here to stay

When I lay me down
Will you still be around
When they put me six feet underground
Will the big bad beautiful you be around

Everyone says they know you
Better than you know who
Everyone says they own you
More than you do

When I lay me down
Will you still be around
When they put you six feet underground
Will the big bad beautiful moon be around

Cause the moon is not only beautiful
It is so far away
The moon is not only ice cold
It is here to stay

Everyone says they know you
Better than you know who
Everyone says they own you
More than you do

Oh the werewolf, oh the werewolf
Comes stepping along
He dont even break the branches where hes gone
Once I saw him in the moonlight, when the bats were a flying
I saw the werewolf, and the werewolf was crying
Cryin nobody knows, nobody knows, body knows
How I loved the man, as I teared off his clothes.
Cryin nobody know, nobody knows my pain
When I see that its risen; that full moon again
For the werewolf, for the werewolf has sympathy
For the werewolf, somebody like you and me.
And only he goes to me, man this little flute I play.
All through the night, until the light of day, and we are doomed to play.
For the werewolf, for the werewolf, has sympathy
For the werewolf, somebody like you and me.

It's not your face
Or the color of your hair
Or the sound of your voice my dear
That's got me dragged in here
It's the ice in the seam, the scheme of you

You're supposed to have the answer
You're supposed to have living proof

Yes i was jealous
Because you are sworn
How could you come undone to a word so strong
My beating heart the anchor to a ship so warm

You're supposed to have the answer
You're supposed to have living proof
Well i am your answer i am living

Will you terrorize this
With your perfect lips
I watch you eat and feed this mess
To the running wind

But i know you from before and after until then
 Do you have your answer
Do you have living proof
Well i am your answer i am living

You're supposed to have an answer
You're supposed to have living proof
Well do you have your answer Do you have your answer
Well i am your answer i am living
